Intermediate Mechatronics Engineer

Drinkfill, the Vancouver startup working to eliminate single-use plastics, is looking for an intermediate mechatronics engineer. We’re building zero-waste beverage dispensing solutions that are modern and exciting to use and develop. Drinkfill envisions a world where there is no single-use waste, and where everything is reusable.

We’re looking for an intermediate mechatronics engineer to help push us forward through our next stage of development. You will be required to both work independently to complete product development and research tasks, and also work closely with our multidisciplinary team. This role will encompass a variety of tasks from concept development and creative thinking, to hand-building and testing prototypes. As such, success in this role will rely on critical thinking, problem solving, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal and engineering skills.
A Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Preferably 2-5 years experience working with both mechanical and electronic systems in a multi-disciplinary product development role
Understanding of materials, plastic, and metal production processes
Skills in 3D CAD software (Fusion 360 preferred)
Ability to work independently and move projects forward – including deliverables, timeline, and budget management
Experience programming/coding embedded systems and electro-mechanics
Excellent oral and written communication skills
